Wizard of Paws
Follow Derrick as he travels the world crafting one-of-a-kind prosthetics for animals in need. The show premiered in 2020 and has run for 7 seasons — airing on BYU TV, with episodes available on Nat Geo Wild and Disney+.
Meet Derrick Campana
Derrick began his career building orthotic and prosthetic devices for people. In 2004, a veterinarian brought her black lab, Charles, into his office — and that encounter changed everything. He discovered his true calling: giving animals the same level of care as human patients.
Since helping that first dog in 2005, Derrick has become the first person to dedicate his career entirely to animal orthotics and prosthetics. He has crafted devices for dogs, horses, ducks, and even a 31-year-old elephant named Mae Mai in Thailand. To date, he has helped over 35,000 animals across the globe.
Known as the "Wizard of Paws," Derrick travels the world filming his hit TV show while continuing to build life-changing devices from Bionic Pets' workshop in Purcellville, VA. He lives with his wife Kelly, their two boys Cole and Jack, and his beloved dog Henry.
