Custom Stifle Brace
Stifle braces for dogs (knee braces) are the most common type of brace made at Bionic Pets.
A stifle brace will stabilize the knee, preventing tibial drawer motions, alleviating pain, and aiding in scar tissue development. The main benefit to our braces is that there is no recovery time, therefore the likelihood of your pup tearing their other CCL is greatly reduced since there is no overcompensation on that limb.
Stifle (Knee) braces can be used to:
- Stabilize the knee after a ligament tear such as the CCL
- Prevent surgery
- Aid in post-operative healing
- Support the contralateral limb post-operatively
- Stabilize the knee for non-surgical candidates or clients who can not afford surgery
Our process is as follows:
1) You place an order directly from our website.
2) We send casting materials for you to take a mold of your pup's leg(s). The tutorial and color options are linked below for reference.
3) You'll mail the cast back to us for Derick to build the brace. Timelines vary and are subject to change. Please reach out to us for an estimate.
4) We'll mail the final product to you.
5) Follow up with any questions or concerns about the fit. From there we'll assess pictures and videos to see if any adjustments need to be made. If so, we'll send a return label to you.
**A casting kit is included**
