Important: Contact Us Before Surgery
IPOP candidacy depends on the anticipated amputation level and the amount of remaining limb. For this reason, we strongly recommend contacting us before your pet's surgery so we can determine whether an IPOP is appropriate.
To begin the evaluation process, please email us at info@bionicpets.org with the information below:
- Your dog's current weight
- Your dog's age
- Which limb is being amputated (front or rear, left or right)
- The estimated amputation level provided by your veterinarian
- If possible, a photograph showing a measuring tape placed along the affected limb
Photos with measurements are especially helpful and allow our team to provide the most accurate assessment and recommendations prior to surgery.
If you have any questions, please contact our team and we will be happy to discuss your pet's specific needs.
