People today love the animals in their lives just as much (if not more!) than people. You can buy clothes for your dog, send him to a dog resort for some special "me time," set up his own Instagram page, and so much more. Now, dogs and other pets are so much more than just animals. They're a member of the family. This makes it incredibly traumatic when there's a health problem, injury, or illness that means they're no longer enjoying the high quality of life they deserve. This is exactly why the pet prosthetic and dog knee brace industry is booming. In fact, there are so many people fascinated by this concept that there is a television show all about it!
Our own Derrick Campana saves lives through the prosthetics and braces he custom builds for animals on the tv show Wizard of Paws. If you're interested in exactly what Bionic Pets does, watching this television program is the perfect way to learn more. Whether you're wondering if this may be the right solution for your own furry family member, your pet already has a prosthetic you're ecstatic about, or you simply love to watch shows with animals, this is the show for you.
Derrick Campana is the founder of Bionic Pets. There's a reason that Derrick was chosen for a show like this. He's the best at what he does, and has both the experience and the credentials to prove it! He received his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology/Biomechanics from Penn State University and a Masters Degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics from Northwestern University. After completing his education, Derrick pioneered the field of Veterinary Orthotics and Prosthetics (V-OP) into what it is today.
Wizard of Paws follows him as he travels the U.S. in his mobile "limb lab" to make prosthetics for pets in need. Each episode features a new animal, sometimes a dog but not always, being treated by Derrick. Their lives are saved, their mobility is restored, and their quality of life is vastly improved. It is no wonder this show is quickly becoming so popular!
When you watch Wizard of Paws, you'll see a familiar face, hear a familiar name brand, and gain insider knowledge into what we do every single day. Once you watch your first episode, you'll be hooked!
From the beginning with his first animal patient, a black lab named Charles, to today, his company today has treated nearly 20,000 furry patients with mobility devices. Derrick's goal is to help as many animals as he can while in his lifetime. We're sure you will love to see this goal shine through each episode of Wizard of Paws. After you watch, you'll feel incredibly comfortable and confident in Bionic Pets' ability to restore your dog's quality of life as well.
